Chess Animation Tools for DaVinci Resolve & Fusion
Turn a chess game stored as PGN data into a 3D animated sequence directly inside DaVinci Resolve Fusion.
ChessInFusion is a research and development project created by Luca Giussani · DCVisuals. Its goal is to convert chess-game data into piece moves, captures, positions and 3D sequences that can be used directly in Fusion.

Chessboard, pieces, Merge3D, Renderer3D, cameras and lighting inside a Fusion composition.
Drive pieces and parameters through centralized controls.
Use expressions, Lua and Python to reduce repetitive manual work.
Experiments with USD / FBX models and different chessboard representations.
Long-term goal: choose a PGN, piece set and environment, then generate the sequence more directly.
The demonstration shows the R&D approach, the Fusion 3D scene and the first animation tools developed around ChessInFusion.
ChessInFusion is currently an R&D prototype. It is not yet a finished product distributed as a ready-to-use application. Architecture, automation, usability and packaging are still evolving.
The Gumroad page is only intended to support research, development, testing and documentation time for the project.
